Thai Coach Masatada Ishii of Thailand is about to be rewarded

Thai Coach Ishii’s future is assured after helping Thailand win tickets to the 1/8 round of the Asian Cup with an unbeaten record, winning 5 points and not conceding a single goal.

Masatada Ishii is leaving a good impression on the Thai coach Football Federation.

Matichon newspaper reports that Coach Ishii’s contract runs until March 2024. He has a separate agreement with Madam Pang. If Madam Pang becomes FAT president, Thai Coach Ishii will sign a long-term contract. His current contract will be extended for one year. The immediate goal is to defend the 2024 AFF Cup and advance Thailand to the 2026 World Cup final qualifiers. If he meets these targets, Coach Ishii will secure a longer extension.

Khuat Van Khang, is suspended for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers

The Vietnamese midfielder will miss the match against Indonesia on March 21 during the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup. Thai coach, Van Khang received a red card in the January 24 match against Iraq, the final game for Vietnam in the 2023 Asian Cup.

According to AFC disciplinary regulations, Thai coach Van Khang’s suspension will carry over to the next official FIFA/AFC match. Therefore, he will not play against Indonesia on March 21.
